Operation Treacle 2026

Operation Treacle 2026

As Halloween and Bonfire Night approach, Greater Manchester Police is launching Op Treacle, our annual operation aimed at reducing anti-social behaviour, firework misuse, disorder, and keeping our communities safe.

We are asking Bee in the Loop members to help identify areas of concern across our neighbourhoods.

📍 Do you know of locations that have experienced problems in previous years?

📍 Are there areas where you are already seeing signs of concern this year, such as stockpiling of materials, nuisance behaviour, firework misuse, or planned gatherings?

Your local knowledge helps us direct patrols, problem-solving activity, and partner agency resources to the right places at the right time.

If you have information about locations that may cause concern this Halloween and Bonfire period, please reply via Bee in the Loop or report it through the usual channels.

Together, we can make this year's celebrations safer for everyone.

Thank you for your support.
